History.

A band called behind human eyes wrote your Excuses, it is their third original song. Behind human eyes are an up and coming band from Hartlepool and are planning on making an EP soon, which will incorporate this song. “Your excuses” is about the singer going through family problems and deciding she’s had enough of the excuses. This song is effective as it could relate to many people and many different problems, it could link to family issues, break ups or general arguments.

The Video.

Our video is going to be a performance based video, without a narrative, seeing as we’re going to be a behind the scenes style video with the band recording the song in the studio and song. As we are using the bands original song, we will be taking shots of them in the studio, whilst recording the actual song that will be used.
We shall have full band shots, with everyone playing together, then as the recordings progress, we’ll have shots of each person in the band separately. The band will be wearing their normal day to day clothes instead of dressing up, as the video will be more of a video diary of the studio, so it will show the bands personality. Throughout our video, there will be homevideo clips that the band record as a sort of video blog, to show the relationship of the band.

We are going to be shooting at song gigs that behind human eyes have coming up, the locations of these are two local pubs, The royal and Pearl bar in hartlepool. We are shooting at a local charity that the band attend called red dreams, Red dreams help children up to the age of 19 in their musical career, they do this by offering a practice room once a week for 3 hours they also offer gigs and give bands/solo artists a chance to record songs, they have a building 'the unit' in south whitby street, we are shooting the studio shots as the band record there song at the unit, we will also get the 'home video' style shots at 'the unit' when they are having the weekly band practice.
