The first shot is a super slowmotion shot of somebody falling into water. This links in with the video in as it is raining a lot in the other shots, you can see that the director of the video has went for a water effect to make the video look dramatic and upbeat. I like it because you can see the high definition of the water as the person sinks.
The second shot shows the band members playing in the rain, this shot was taken from the side and doesn't include everybody. Low key lighting is used in this shot.
The third shot is effective as it shows the entire band, you can see rain coming down on everybody and water splashing from the drumkit every time it is struck.
The 4th & 7th shot are close ups of the singer on the chorus of the song, these i shots are good because you get to see the singer up close and get too see him lip sync to the song.
The 5th shot is a medium shot of the singer saving somebody from the water (the person who fell in). This shot goes well with the lyrics as it says "i should of known the tides were getting higher, we can still survive".
The 6th and 8th shot are of the drummer, the water effect is used heavily in these shots as the song breaks down for one of the final time. This effect is really good as it builds up a lot of suspense for the viewer.
The final shot was taken when the song actually broke down, a close up of somebody fire breathing.
