This is a simple cd cover but it is very eye-catching due to the bright colours. Also the contrast between the black logo and colourful background also makes it enticing, along with the fact that the logo is huge and dominates most of the cover. I my opinion every part of this CD cover is eye catching as even though the band name is smallish, he fancy font makes it interesting.
The silhouettes on this cover are effective as we cant see the bands faces, this represents how monters are portrayed in the media, as in films etc. they tend to be shown as shadows. The light at the end of the tunnel could link to how the band are feeling as, they have recently lost two members so this song could be their comeback, the "light at the end of their tunnel' and show a new, fresh start. The font used for the band name 'Paramore" is the same font used on the rest of their albums but the album title 'monster' is in a different font. this could represent that they are the same band but with a few minor changes, this is sending the message to their audience that we will still like them as a three person band.
The title of the album is chosen from a lyric in the second track "Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel)", where the relevant line within the chorus reads "Just stand up and scream, the tainted clock is counting down". I like the album name because it isn't an actual song and is different from other albums. The font used for the bands logo is effective as it uses the A for both words (asking alexandria). The microphone on the cover is the microphone which is used in the music videos. If you have seen the videos you would recognise this and it is pretty cool.
This advert is effective as it is very busy and uses phases such as 'your favourite band' which will make the audience intrigued as if Paramore aren't their favourite band they may want to know why paramore are some peoples favourite band so they may buy the album. Also a very clever technique they have used in encorporating an available ringtone, this will generate extra money but also give people a taster of the album before buying it. the advert is mostly dominated by the image of Paramore which will catch peoples eyes.
This Magazine article Is about a band called 'you me at six' in this article they are promoting their new album. They build each song up by describing them individually and aiming each song at a certain audience, by doing this it encourages more people to buy the album as it has a range of different genres in. They also talk about how they have asked "Oli Sykes' (from Bring me the horizon) and 'Winston McCall' (Parkway drive's lead vocals) By doing this it will entice fans from these two bands too.
