Opie

We created our own opie with photoshop. To aid the creation of this i used the  magnetic lasso tool to cut out various parts of my body. The background was one of the things which i got rid of by the use of this tool. I transfered parts of my picture by selecting them with the lasso tool then right clicking on my selection and clicked layer via copy. This made the part i selected move to a new layer.
 I edited these differant layers untill i got an outcome as such as this.

Narrative

Narrated by the singer afroman as he drives around his estate in his ice-cream van. The video fits perfectly with the music as it cuts to the beat, an example of this is how he smokes his joint as he takes a puff of it to the beat. The video consists of various clips which are funny, but there are also many which show lip syncing. Everyone who he passes in his ice cream van start running after it, this shows how everybody wants some of his "ice cream" which is pretty much marijuana on a stick. His van has got an cone with an afro instead of the icecream. Throughout the video he explains how he didn't too good in life "because i got high", he doesn't seem to bothered about this because that is his life and he loves it. He sings about not doing too good in life but everybody in the video seem to be enjoying themselves. 

Audience

Targets people who are familiar with the soft drug marijuana and those whom enjoy hiphop. It is aimed at people around 18 years old and above because drugs are illegal therefore its not a song for a young audience. However, the younger generation do find this song good as it is such a catchy song. There is a censored version of this video for younger audiences to watch.

Representation

Afroman is the main person in the video, but it also includes jay and silent bob which are both great actors. The features of their past productions also promotes the use of marijuana, therefore relating to this video and making it much more cool as there is highly respected actors doing something which some may claim to be illegal (in some states).
